Radio prop for custom music?

edited 11:09AM in Suggestions
Don't know if this would be possible, but a radio of some sort, that playes mp3 files? It would need a folder in the game directory, where you cold drop the music you want?

If you're thinking about Yiffalicious having a set of music tracks included with the installation, maybe; but if you mean to include your music files, there's two problems: Yiffalicious can't attach the MP3 to the published interaction (copyright violations would be a nightmare) so if you publish your interaction, then it would not find the file so the radio is useless except for the interaction's creator.

If an interaction is published, the files would not be included. It would just look at the other users library instead. And if they don't have any in it, it would just be silent.
Oh god no! Let's try to avoid any kind of trouble of that kind.

Why not just add a radio prop that has a select handful of generic synth beats?  Nothing beats a good session of sex while fucking to Macintosh Plus http://https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=cU8HrO7XuiE

Another option is like in Garrys mod where you can input the url of a YouTube video and it'll play the audio from the vid. So you are not actually stealing/copying anything, just playing back the music from videos they already upload and allow playback of.

Once agian though, it's still probably more trouble than it's worth.

@TheTruthTeller Yeah, that would definitely be a good option. But I only see this as something in the distant future :)

i'm not sure how Garry's mod is getting away with it, but the Youtube ToS says:

You agree not to access Content through any technology or means other than the video playback pages of the Service itself, the Embeddable Player, or other explicitly authorized means YouTube may designate.

Maybe you can consider it an "Embedded player." Check out gmod cinima if you are curious as to it.

I think it's easier if Yiffalicious comes bundled with some songs. There are a lot of copyleft and creative commons licensed music files that can be legally included with free software.
Or they can buy some from a sound library.
