Nodes not appearing

Hi there.

I seem to be having an issue with nodes, as they aren't appearing at all. They still exist, sort of, they can be edited and created on characters, but that's nearly impossible as they're invisible. ^_^

You can see it clearly here, none of these chairs have the nodes that they're supposed to have: http://imgur.com/a/UsSg9

are the nodes missing from characters as well?

starting in 0.6.0 the nodes disappear when you get far enough away, if this isn't the issue can you link to a pastebin of your output_log.txt ?

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply, and I'm sorry for my slow reply!

The nodes are also missing from the characters. I haven't played in a while, I know that in the past they worked perfectly fine on my machine. I'm running a windows VM on my mac.

    Here's the output log.

  • Got more info for you! This is what the characters look like in edit mode. http://imgur.com/a/wgrgO I've selected a node, note how the end-cap arrows are missing from the position widget thing. However, sometimes when I position the mouse just right, I see bones in the character (still no nodes) and the widget end-caps return. http://imgur.com/a/XOwse

Looks to me like a tough nut to crack, but I really appreciate your time!
  • I'm just bumping this because I still haven't found a solution. @odes, can you help me with this issue? I feel like this is one of those mystery bugs, I have tried reinstalling the program, deleting program files, and a couple other things. Do you have any suggestions?

i've been doing some digging and it seems like other people online also report weird visual issues running unity and/or unity games in parallels due to it emulating DirectX over OpenGL.

my mac isn't terribly powerful, but i'll give setting up parallels a shot over the weekend to see if i can reproduce this. what guest OS are you running in parallels?
  • As a guest OS I'm running Microsoft Windows 10 Version 1607 (14393.0)
