uploaded images all went missing. this impacts users who added their own custom icons before the upgrade and forum posts where users attached images instead of linking to externally hosted sites.

Thanks for pointing that out @jei3 ! Should be fixed now.
Horise just made me aware there was an issue with permissions since the upgrade. Anyone who was unable to post before should be able to now.
Yeah, I was unable to login with a "Permission denied" error. Now its fixed.
Something else I noticed, is that the "Quote" option that popped up when you selected text from a post no longer appears for me. It was a very useful feature.
Yeah unfortunately some addons don't work with this version of vanilla. Quote selection is one of them.
