judging by the dark shadows, this looks like 0.7.0, assuming the GIF below shows the same issue issue, i can reproduce in the latest build when Translucency is enabled (any of the 3 states results in this)

regrading the inflation, what build are you using? there was an issue with how inflation is stored and updated in snapshots that was fixed in 0.7.0.

Starting with 0.7.0 there's a "yiffalicious_novr.exe" included that launches the app with VR disabled. I use it quite often alongside the app in VR mode to edit scenes.

7-zip should work, it's worked for others (see: http://forum.yiffalicious.com/discussion/437/error-code-80004005) are you getting the same exact error? the screenshot you posted doesn't look like a 7-zip window.

the login from within the game is used for uploading and voting on interactions, it is a separate account from the forums.

are the nodes missing from characters as well? starting in 0.6.0 the nodes disappear when you get far enough away, if this isn't the issue can you link to a pastebin of your output_log.txt ?
