It's probably going to be a bit complicated -- the existing characters already have so many completely different body sliders for expressions et al, so your mesh / rig / metadata need to not only support but define those body sliders.
Your skeleton will likely need to follow certain rules for the engine to figure out how to automate its movement, too.
I wouldn't mind this, honestly; most of my models from Wolvalix are standard models that could be imported and rigged for the game. It could be something like SFM/Facerig model importing, methink...
