problems with skin manager

You see, I recently installed @jei3's skin manager. Everything normal at first, the application starts and the interface is not complicated. But when allocating the "skin folder" it doesn't show any of them, besides the folder (appdata%\YiffaliciousSkinManager) together with the configuration (user.config) are not created by themselves by the application. I have investigated and seen how some have solved this problem, but they do not say how they did it. I've come to this as a last resort, since @jei3 seems to have disappeared and no one else has explained this.
