Re-attach male model to a target after editing?

Missing a tutorial about how to start couple animations, I used to start adding male models, positioning them roughly, then placing female models ... and wondering why they don't really match and where intercourse relevant sliders are. So I found rather accidentally that attachments are created only when adding male models after their planned partners are already present.

So would it be possible at all to attach them after editing already progressed? Or would codewise constraints make this feature too hard to implement? I guess the pose would get rather destroyed while trying so, anyway...

Currently the penetrator must be added after the penetratee in order for attachment to work.
