why is it so dark help please

since i downloaded 6.1 and its to dark ive been through all of the graphics settings and theres nothing for gamma or brightness help me please

have you tried doing app-specific settings in your graphics software of choice? (nvidia/ati control panel)

i've done this in the past for games that didn't support increasing/decreasing gamma past a certain point
