  There are two options to change the skin for a character, either with the help of the Skin Manager or manually directly in the folder with the character. Only here and here is the problem that everything must match the appropriate folder, otherwise the file name will not work. Here you have, for example, a wiki for installing skins. As for the folder names, it must match the bbody chair or other parts. Some skins in the zip are not arranged so you won't add one to the skin manager.
