I haven't been doing any texture work so I haven't been looking at the UVs, that looks like it was the problem. Theyre overlapping on all of the are not rendering.

I have applied or removed the modifiers when exporting to prevent getting any those issues. The mesh in the example has no modifiers applied to it but I have been using, Mirror, subdivide and solidify before exporting the high poly results.
I thought the same thing in the editor until I realised that you need to reset the rotation as well as the position of the joints. If you press R on the joints their rotation will be reset.
In regards to scale, I was wondering what kind of range we should expect in the creator? And whether individual body parts can be scaled seperatly and disproportionately?

Do you mean having a character thrusting without being attached to another character? That currently isn't possible, but non penetrative sex is in the roadmap. The best you could do is max out random movement but you'll get side ways motion as well.
